Ravelry rolled out a new design that has triggered at least ten seizures, countless migraines, vertigo episodes, and other health issues. They have spent the last month gaslighting users, attacking those who have advocated for the disabled and neorodivergent knitting communities and refused to fix anything on their site. The founder of Ravelry has gone out of her way to belittle and attack those speaking out. This is unacceptable.

I have started to update my Ravelry links. If designers have their patterns available on alternative sites, I have updated their links and pointed to those sources. If designers do not have alternative areas available, I have simply removed them. I have some conflicting emotions about this as I feel it is punishing the designer for something they have no control over. However, I just don’t feel comfortable sending people to ravelry if they aren’t expecting it. Someone can always search for patterns in a second. If I accidentally give them a migraine linking to ravelry, they could suffer for hours or even days and longer.
